Attorney Jennifer L. DiCarlo
Born: Saugus, Massachusetts
email: j.dicarlo@heneylaw.com

Licensed as an attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 2006, Jennifer DiCarlo brings to her law practice passion and a work ethic to be rivaled.  Jennifer’s background is both unique and robust.  Creative at heart, she earned her B.S. from Emerson College in Visual and Media Arts with a focus in television and film production.  Having worked in the “industry” on the West Coast, Jennifer was looking for an opportunity that would be intellectually challenging and provide a chance to help others.  Law school provided such an opportunity.  Upon graduating from New England Law | Boston, where she was the recipient of a merit scholarship, Jennifer was accepted to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Land Court where she clerked for the then Chief Justice, the Honorable Karyn F. Scheier.  At the Land Court, she researched and helped write decisions concerning a myriad of real estate issues including title disputes, zoning, land use, easements and restrictions.  She was also involved in the approval process for condominiums developed on registered land.  It was at the Land Court and also through her experiences working with one of the state’s busiest foreclosure law firms that Jennifer’s expertise in real estate matters was forged.   In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family – especially her four daughters!  She is frequently involved in community organizations and volunteer efforts having sat on the Board of Directors for Friends of Lake Quannapowitt, an organization formed for the protection of the Town of Wakefield’s greatest asset – Lake Quannapowitt.  She was also a member of the Colonel Connelly Park Committee, a group responsible for the renovation of park grounds located in Wakefield and was an alternate member of the Town of Wakefield’s Zoning Board of Appeals.  Jennifer presently is an appointed commissioner of the Town of Topsfield Conservation Commission, elected member of the Topsfield Housing Authority, provides pro bono legal services in family law cases through the Volunteer Lawyers Project, an organization committed to providing legal services to indigent clients and has served as Lawyer for the Day in Suffolk County Probate and Family Court.  Additionally, she has authored a number of articles for the monthly legal periodicals Fire Briefings for Fire Chiefs and Building Permits Law Bulletin and has taught Legal Research and Writing to second year law students at New England Law | Boston.  Most recently Jennifer had the distinction of being named as one of the top real estate lawyers of 2021 in Boston magazine.   Jennifer is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and also in the U.S. Supreme Court.
